We are excited to announce that entries are now open for the TST Photo competition. We hope to capture images that highlight our people, places and culture that you are willing to share.

The Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust want to understand “What does Tūwharetoa mean to you?”.

We will be running a photography competition to build a bank of images that we can use for our communications and electronic platforms.  The winner of the competition will have their image featured in the TST Annual Report for 2023 and receive a Tūwharetoa Prize pack.

COMPETITION KEY DATES

Competition opens: 1 July 2023
Competition closes: 21 July 2023

Winners Announced: 1 August 2023


PHOTO CATEGORIES

Photos will fall into the following categories:

  • Tangata – that show our Tūwharetoa People
  • Whenua – that show places in our rohe
  • Tikanga – that show our Tūwharetoa culture

PRIZES

First prize will receive the following:

  • The winning image will feature in the 2023 TST Annual Report.
  • A Tūwharetoa Pack which contains:
    • Tūwharetoa Kids Backpack
    • Tūwharetoa Winter Jacket – sizes limited
    • Tūwharetoa Bucket Hat
    • “Ko au a Tūwharetoa” T-Shirt

Second and Third prizes will receive the following:

  • A Tūwharetoa Pack which contains:
    • Tūwharetoa kids Backpack
    • Tūwharetoa Bucket Hat

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The following terms and conditions must be followed:

      1. This competition is open to registered members of the Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust. Submissions by professional photographers will not be accepted.
      2. By submitting the photo, the entrant declares that they have the permission of all individual(s) captured in photo(s) to share and publish their image.
      3. TST has the right to use all entries in our marketing and promotional material and any on-going material.
      4. By submitting a photo for entry and/or voting, each entrant hereby agrees to participate in any publicity related to the competition. Entrants and winners in the competition agree that their identity may be disclosed in winner announcements and promotional material. Winners also agree to have his/her image used for publicity purposes without any additional payment being made.
      5. The photo must be a high resolution (At least 1MB or higher). TST has the sole discretion to determine whether or not a photo meets these requirements.
      6. The TST decision regarding the competition is final.
      7. Winners must reside in New Zealand.
      8. The winners will be determined by the TST team.
      9. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition is governed by the Privacy Laws of New Zealand. Your personal information shall not be provided to any third parties without your prior consent but you do authorise Tuwharetoa Settlement Trust to be able to contact you with information pertaining to the competition or related promotions.
