Our KaiĀRAHI KĀINGA are our people, working for our people.

Established in 2019, He Iwi Kāinga is the Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust’s dedicated Housing Strategy. 

Having completed its research to gain valuable insight into the housing needs of Ngāti Tūwharetoa Iwi we found urgent action was required to provide advice and advocacy for Affordable, Assured, Healthy and Accessible housing for all our Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust members.  

He Iwi Kāinga is a collective of tangata whenua delivering support to whānau Māori based on kaupapa Māori principles. Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of our iwi and environment.

Our He Iwi Kāinga team believes all our whānau deserve a stable home, for their mana, our tamariki, and future generations.
